Eulogy for Grandpa

I have experienced the death of a loved one in my life, but I was too young to remember considering I was still an infant when my grandpa died. I never had the opportunity to develop a relationship with him or get to know him, but my dad tells me how he used to love playing with me when I was younger. My grandpa was known for his love of sports, intelligence, and sense of humor. He was a huge Dodgers fan and knew everything about the team. He was also an avid reader whose intelligence showed through his career: a lawyer.  I always think about how he could have influenced my life  today if he had lived long enough for me to develop a relationship with him. I feel like the two of us have a lot in common and he would be a positive influence in my life.  Even though I never got to know my grandpa, his death has still impacted me in the sense that I will never get to hold a conversation with him or experience the love one receives from their grandfather.
