Ever since I was a young kid, I have always been a person of
few words who would rather observe others than be a part of the action. When I
was two years old I still hadn’t spoken any words, but I understood everything
people said to me; I just never replied. Young children are often explorers as
they learn about their surroundings and catch a glimpse of the world around
them. This is exactly what I did as I observed everything, but said nothing. I
went from saying no words, to speaking in full sentences, thus showing my mom
that I had the ability to speak the whole time, but chose not to because of my
reserved personality. Even today I am still a quiet person until you get to
know me because I would still rather watch others than get involved in a
situation.
This blog is a way for me to express my thoughts through
written words to my peers. It is a way for people to see what life is like
through my eyes and my perspective on the world because often times I do not
express my feelings to even my closest friends. My personality can be drawn
from everything I write and my readers can see a glimpse of my feelings. People
often say, “Put yourself in someone else’s shoes before you jump to conclusions
and assumptions about them.” Through this blog I am giving my peers an
opportunity to put themselves in my shoes and experience how I think through
situations that arise.
